Zombie in the nightSometimes I feel like a zombie, aimlessly wandering through the night. Darkness falls upon me as if it were blankets of dynamite. Heavy, heavy danger yet familiar, comforting unease. A loneliness I long for in the wake of my reprieve. I stare ahead at the nothingness that I begrudgingly drift towards. Quietude surrounds my struggling thoughts that are whisked away, ignored... |

A Silent Realization |
It's not one big thing.
It's not even several big things. It's like a bunch of little things, ever-changing. Things you can't keep up with. Things you can't keep in your grasp. And they make you feel like you're drowning, like you're suffocating. And you're scared. So, you open your mouth. But you can't... |
About me...
Hello! My name is Ashley Dyer, and welcome to my website! If you're new here, take some time and explore, then let me know your thoughts by taking my survey or contacting me personally. I love all feedback whether it be positive comments, constructive criticism, or even ideas on resources to add to my Human Reform pages.
Anyways, let me tell you some basic [boring] things about me as a person before I talk about my website. I'm 25 years old, live at home, and work a full time job - I know, I'm a total catch. My goal in life right now is to work on my writing and hopefully write a novel in the next couple of years. In April of 2021, I quit my job in retail after 4.5 years to do work that would allow me to have more free time to write as well as the privilege of having a job that feels purposeful. I love to travel and went to England in September of 2019, and I've been lucky enough to travel other places within the United States at least once a year for the past few years (including an annual trip to Florida with my father - we get lit!). |
